How To Transfer Photos From Fujifilm Camera To Iphone

So I turn my camera on and with F1 assigned to wifi, I press that...then I open the remote app. then I hit the playback button on camera to open a pic...then I go into menu and click on Image Transfer Order which then allows me to click OK on the image and then bring up other images and one by one select them and finally hit the backbutton to "complete" and then app will ask me "Cam remote wants to join wi fi network...."....I hit join and the image{s) export to my library via the remote app. with final app page being to either hit ok or check album.

This is a very easy way for me to go thru pics on camera and decide what I want sent directly (via app) to my iPad or iphone. Did I discover something or does everyone know this already...maybe I misunderstood the Fuji manual?

I can't stand the app. Perhaps I haven't figured out the right order of operations. I opted for a usb-c to usb-c cord and just plug it straight into my phone. I'm immediately prompted with all the photos on the SD card from the camera, on my phone and then I pick and choose what I want. Transfer speeds are almost instant.

I also can't stand the app. But probably due to my bad experiences with it in the past few years back. Since then I only use the app if I want to transfer one or two photos immediately.
Otherwise, I transfer the photos to phone/tablet/computer using card reader.

That is typically all I want to do when on vacation...just pull a couple of photos from my days shooting and send them to a couple friends/family. I do the lionshare of work when I get home and load everything into LR where I can work from the Raw photos. The USB-c idea sounds intriguing and will have to learn more about how that works.

I use these for transferring to phone/tablet/computer.

Left to right: lightning for ipad, micro-usb and usb-c for phones/android tablet, plain usb reader for computer.

I use this method of transferring my photos to my iPad, and find it to be quick, easy and trouble free:
Turn on camera, and press WiFi button.
On iPad, go to Settings.
Tap WiFi.
Tap Fujifilm... and wait for connection.
Close settings.
Open Camera Remote app.
Tap Import Image.
Select photos to import.
And there you are. Job done!

When you do it this way, dont ALL of your camera images show up on the app and then you choose which ones get transferred to iPad ?

I believe.........If you have the iPad Pro with USB-C then you can directly connect the camera to the ipad. You can then download to the ipad over USB-C which is very fast.

I know this works with my Nikon D850 and Z7 but I havent tried it on my XH1 or XT3 but it should work.

I think it can be much easier. ;)
When I open the Cam Remote App, my phone automatically connects to my camera via bluetooth (which is turned on).
No hassle with WiFi button or F1 button, no manual WiFi connection to make. When pictures are transferred, the App automatically starts the WiFi connection.

Edit: only for newer cameras with Bluetooth of course such as X-H1, X-T3/4, X100V

Is there a way where you can shoot on the X-T4 and the images transfer automatically to say a tablet?

I'm sure this can be done via a laptop perhaps, but i woul dmore likely take my tablet out with me on a shoot than a laptop

For Fuji XT4, this doesn't work. I'd like to know if other people can directly transfer photos on XT4 to iPad Pro through typec cable. How do you do that?

Set your Connection setting to USB Card Reader.

What I have found to be the quickest for me:
1) Turn off power. Remove battery & SD card.
2) Used battery on charger & install a fresh battery.
3) Pick up iPad & SD card reader, insert SD card.
4) Use Files, Lightroom Mobile or Photos to ingest images.

My view of the Fuji Camera Remote app is consistent with 1,700 users on the App Store, a 1 star rating.

Just tried it. Easy peasy.

I'll still just pop the SD card into a laptop, mac or PC. I passed on big sur, so everything just works.

What's the problem with big sur? I haven't upgraded to it as my MacBook is too old, but my wife's air is running it.
I'm not even on Catalina as I think that breaks lightroom 6. Mojave is the end of the line for this laptop.

Wife's laptop and I don't want to relearn/reteach. No real benefits to me. All her software is happy now and it's fast. It's older and I guess this will be the last update it would get. I might figure out how to download it in case there a need later, but I'm doubtful about that.

My apologies. I assumed it was the same as the X100V. It's not. I looked in the manual: "Set the camera's D[CONNECTION SETTING] > [USB POWER SUPPLY SETTING] to [OFF]."

Odd, I don't get the impression there is a "USB Card Reader" mode. What camera do you have?
